How to Consign
Thank you for choosing to consign with us. We appreciate your business and will do everything we can to accommodate you. We will provide an inviting, clean environment that provides the best service
to you, the consignor, for the sale of your clothing.
The Beanstalk Consignment Shop, LLC determines the selling price according to brand, quality, demand, and appearance. Please advise us if there is any item in which you would be disappointed if the
selling price fell below your expectations.
To serve you and our resale customer the best, please bring consignments during store business hours or call ahead at 512-267-5437 for an appointment, or to confirm that we have room your furniture consignment. If you come in without an appointment we will do our best to get to you as soon as possible, but please be patient. We recommend that you carefully go through the items you wish to consign. All items must be newer than 2 years, in excellent condition, clean and free from strong odors (perfume, smoke, moth-balls, etc.) and in season (holidays included) as well as style. Remember, good-looking clothing sells best for you and makes the store a delight to shop in. If you wouldn’t buy it here, please do not consign it here. We accept only clothing and furniture deemed saleable by The Beanstalk and we reserve the right to refuse any item for any reason. Our goal is to make the store classy – so you the consignor can receive full value on your items. We are not a thrift store.
When items are consigned, an inventory Item List will be e-mailed to the consignor. The Item List shows all items with initial selling prices for the items consigned on that date. It is the responsibility of the consignor to check the Item List for accuracy. The BeanStalk is not responsible for losses resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information on the Item List.
Although we take every precaution to protect your items, The Beanstalk is not responsible for any losses due to handling, theft, fire, flood, or accidental damage. Equipment, toys and furniture should be clean, in good working order and must meet all current safety requirements.
The Beanstalk also reserves the right to remove and return any garment that is torn, stained, or damaged to the consignor.
Bins, boxes, bags or any other containers that clothing is delivered in WILL NOT be returned to the consignor.
Items left on the porch after business hours that are unmarked will become property of The Beanstalk.
Terms
The consignment period lasts a total of 60 to 90 days. Items accepted for consignment will remain at full price for the first 30-day consignment period. During the second 30-day consignment period, your remaining item(s) will be placed on sale at 20% off. If in 30-days after the item has been placed on sale it is still not sold, it is the responsibility of the consignor to pick the items up within 7 business days of notification, unless other arrangements have been made.
Expired items that have not been picked up within 7 business days become the property of The Beanstalk Consignment Shop, LLC and may be donated to local charities or
re-sold.
