Clothing Contract
Thank you for consigning with us. We appreciate your business and will do everything we can to accommodate you. We will provide an inviting, clean environment, providing the best service to you, the consignor, for the sale of your clothing.
The Beanstalk Consignment Shop determines the selling price according to brand, quality, demand, and appearance. Please advise us if there is any item in which you would be disappointed if the selling price fell below your expectations.
To serve you and our resale customer the best, please bring consignments during store business hours on Saturday or Sunday, or call ahead for an appointment. If you come in without an appointment we will do our best to get to you as soon as possible, but please be patient. We ask that all articles be newer than 2 years, clean, pressed and free from strong odors (perfume, smoke, moth-balls, etc.). Remember, good-looking clothing sells best for you and makes the store a delight to shop in. We accept only clothing deemed saleable by The Beanstalk and we reserve the right to refuse any item for any reason. Our goal is to make the store classy – so you the consignor can receive full value on your items. We are not a thrift store.
Although we take every precaution to protect your items, The Beanstalk is not responsible for losses due to handling, theft, fire, flood, or accidental damage.
The Beanstalk also reserves the right to remove and return any garment that is torn, stained, or damaged to the consignor.
Terms
Items remain at full price for the 60-day consignment period. After this 60-day period you have the option to place your item on sale or have it returned to you. If in 30-days after the item has been placed on sale it is still not sold, it is the responsibility of the consignor to pick the item up within 7 business days of notification, unless other arrangements have been made.
Expired items that have not been picked up become the property of The Beanstalk Consignment Shop and may be donated to local charities.
Please call for an appointment so that we can plan for your items. If you come in without an appointment we will do our best to get to you as soon as possible, but please be patient.
Payment
Consignor proceeds are 50% of the selling price should the Consignor like to use their payment as in store credit. Check issued Consignor proceeds are 40% of the selling price. Commission payments may be used as in-store credit at any time. Checks will be issued on the 15th of each month, providing they are over $15. Payouts may be picked up anytime after the 15th, upon notification that your item(s) have sold.
I have read the above contract and agree to the terms. I warrant that I am the owner or otherwise am legally entitled to sell the items and that all information given about the items is true to the best of my knowledge.
